Senior Software Development Engineer
Job Summary: Orbit Logic is seeking a talented software development engineer to provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and develop new software products, primarily for aerospace scheduling desktop and web based applications. Job Details: Candidates must be able to perform full software life cycle activities including requirements analysis and design (25%), coding (50%), and unit testing (25%). Self motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required. Candidates will be expected to participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other team coordination meetings. Will interact internally with the VP of Software Development, Jr. and Sr. Engineers and Systems Engineers.
Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, and able to come up with innovative solutions to challenging problems. Candidates will work in small development teams on all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, etc. They will also interact directly with customers and have the potential to attend domestic and international conferences. Skill Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ year or equivalent of strong C#/Java experience, unit testing, XML, Technical documentation, effective communication skills
- Strong experience in full life cycle development
- Excellent documentation skills
