Orbit Logic Delivers STK/Scheduler Version 3.0
GREENBELT, MD, (June 23, 2004) -- Orbit Logic announced today the delivery of version 3.0 of the industry-leading STK/Scheduler™ software product. The new version extends the capabilities of the successful scheduling add-on module developed by Orbit Logic for the Satellite Tool Kit® (STK®) software suite from Analytical Graphics, Inc (AGI). STK/Scheduler version 3.0 has been released by AGI and is included on the STK 6.0 installation CD.
STK/Scheduler 3.0 adds minimum and maximum time-between constraints for recurring activities and predecessor dependencies, rate-based resource capacity depletion and replenishment to support the modeling and optimization of data storage, power, and other similar consumable resources, as well as improved scheduling algorithms and expanded report integration so that data from any standard or custom report generated by STK can be applied as a scheduling constraint. A complete list of 3.0 upgrades can be found in the product release notes.
“These new features allow STK/Scheduler to solve more complex problems at a higher fidelity.”
explained Orbit Logic
president Alex Herz, “Already the industry standard for satellite system scheduling, STK/Scheduler can now be applied across an even wider range of scheduling challenges.”
About STK/Scheduler
STK/Scheduler provides deconflicted and optimized satellite system operating schedules through multiple user-selectable scheduling algorithms and a configurable Figure-0f-Merit. User-friendly GUIs allow users to configure the software to solve almost any resource-constrained task scheduling problem, and the comprehensive API supports fully integrated and automated dynamic scheduling solutions. Sample applications by current users include single-satellite observation planning, large ground network pass scheduling and load forecasting, and satellite constellation design and analysis.
About AGI
Headquartered in Exton, PA, AGI provides commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) analysis software to more than 30,000 aerospace, defense, and intelligence professionals through its core product STK and a series of add-on modules. With fully integrated land, sea, air and space assets, basic STK applications include calculating and visualizing a vehicle's position and attitude; determining acquisition times; and analyzing its field of view. STK Standard can be expanded with modules that support specialized analyses including conjunction analysis, coverage assessment, real-time visualization maneuver planning, geospatial intelligence analysis, orbit determination, communication link analysis, and missile modeling.
