Press Release: Orbit Logic Incorporated to Deliver Collection Feasibility Solution to Thailand
GREENBELT, MD, (December 16, 2011) – Orbit Logic Incorporated is proud to announce the signing of a contract with the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) in Thailand for the delivery of a collection feasibility solution for the THEOS imaging satellite. Under the terms of the contract Orbit Logic will host the off-the-shelf, web-based Collection Feasibility Tool (CFT) configured for the THEOS satellite on an Orbit Logic server for exclusive use by GISTDA. An enhanced version of CFT will be delivered to GISTDA in early 2012 for hosting on a GISTDA server for operational use by GISTDA and THEOS imagery customers.
Orbit Logic ‘s CFT will provide GISTDA and its authorized THEOS imagery customers interactive web access to accurate collection timeline estimates for enhanced operational planning and improved customer responsiveness and support. CFT computes the minimum and maximum time to collect a specified target or group of targets based on the area(s) of interest, user-defined collection constraints, computed accesses, statistical cloud cover, and a competition order deck (if available). Results are returned within seconds in a summary overlay on the map, with a detailed report available upon user request. Authorized users can add, remove, and configure new satellites and feasibility parameters so the tool can be quickly deployed to support almost any mission within a matter of hours.
“We are excited to be deploying our web-based collection feasibility tool for use by GISTDA in support of THEOS operations.” said Alex Herz, president of Orbit Logic. “CFT was developed as an add-on to our collection planning software, but has standalone applications for almost any satellite imagery customer or operator. ”
Alex Herz, President of Orbit Logic.
