Orbit Logic will deliver STK/Scheduler™ Version 9 in 2008
GREENBELT, MD, (May 18th, 2008) -- Orbit Logic has announced today that delivery of version 9 of the industry-leading STK/Scheduler™ software product will be coming later this year. The new version greatly extends the capabilities of the successful scheduling add-on module developed by Orbit Logic for the STK™ software suite from Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI). STK/Scheduler™ version 9 will be officially released by AGI with its next major release of STK. STK/Scheduler currently has 120+ licenses deployed over a range of clients from NASA to the military to various aerospace contractors.
STK/Scheduler v.9 adds these dynamic features and enhancements:
- Millisecond scheduling fidelity
- Re-architected algorithms for faster performance
- Updated object definition GUIs for faster selection and editing of objects (tasks and resources)
- Option to run STK/Scheduler™ as a Windows service (no GUI)
- New API Socket interface
- New event log added as a pane at the bottom of the main GUI
- .NET framework 2.0 C# application (.COM version still available)
“These new v.9 enhancements allow STK/Scheduler™ to solve more complex problems much faster and with higher fidelity. STK/Scheduler™ is already the industry standard for satellite system scheduling. It can now be applied across an even wider range of scheduling challenges, and provides a COTS scheduling solution nobody else can match - anywhere.,”
said Alex Herz, Orbit Logic president.
STK/Scheduler™ provides deconflicted and optimized satellite system operating schedules through multiple user-selectable scheduling algorithms and a configurable Figure-of-Merit. User-friendly GUIs allow operators to configure the software to solve almost any resource-constrained task scheduling problem and the comprehensive API supports fully integrated and automated dynamic scheduling solutions. Anything that can be computed in STK can be scheduled with STK/Scheduler™. Sample applications by current users include; Single-satellite observation planning; Large ground network pass scheduling and load forecasting; Satellite constellation design and analysis; and launch and early orbit scheduling.
Headquartered in Exton, PA, AGI develops commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) analysis software for land, sea, air, and space relied upon by the national security and space communities in more than 32,000 worldwide installations. In addition to the STK product suite, AGI produces the desktop software applications Navigation Tool Kit and Orbit Determination Tool Kit; interactive AGI Viewer software; and the development tools 4DX (STK Engine) and Real-Time Tracking Technology (RT3). With fully integrated land, sea, air and space assets, basic STK applications include calculating and visualizing a vehicle's position and attitude; determining acquisition times; and analyzing its field of view.
